Uniqueness of Mineral Microbiome Clay
Present in all of Back To Earth Skin’s products—from the facial mist to the eye cream—Mineral Microbiome ClayTM (MMCTM) is an exclusive ingredient that harnesses the goodness of nature. There are several factors that make it so special, including its unique mineral composition and the deposit where its sourced.
Where it comes from
The rare clay is harvested from the Kisameet Bay Clay Deposit in British Columbia. Unlike so many other parts of the world, the region where the deposit is located has been kept completely free of contaminants like marine plastic and industrial waste. It’s totally pristine.
What it contains
MMCTM is a rich source of natural minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese and zinc, which play important roles in the maintenance of healthy skin.
What it doesn’t contain
MMCTM has no preservatives or additives and no odour. It contains no animal or animal-derived ingredients and is not tested on animals.
Why it’s so beneficial for skin
The minerals in MMCTM have a wide range of benefits, from protection to healing.
- Helps to protect the skin against UV light (thanks to zinc)
- Assists with collagen synthesis (thanks to manganese)
- Encourages and regulates cell regeneration and repair (iron, calcium, magnesium, silicon and manganese)
- Promotes strong, healthy skin (zinc again!)
It’s also hypoallergenic and has a neutral pH when hydrated (as it is in all Back To Skin Earth products).
We think Mineral Microbiome Clay is exceptional in the world of beauty: a totally unique, good-for-your-skin ingredient that’s sourced from a precious place. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do.
